Why a business needs a Telegram bot

Customers already write to you in Telegram, but messages get lost among personal chats, and the reply comes an hour later. A bot takes a request at any time, asks the right questions, saves the answers and sends you a ready request at once. You answer what needs a person, and the bot takes the routine.

A bot for requests and client bookings

A booking bot shows free slots, takes the client's choice, reminds them of the visit and tells you about the new booking. A request bot walks the client through a few questions so the request arrives complete: what is needed, by when, how to get in touch.

The data goes where you work: a spreadsheet, a CRM or your website. If several staff members take bookings, each gets their own schedule and their own alerts.

A paid channel and Telegram's rules

Under Telegram's rules, digital goods and services inside the messenger, access to a private channel included, are sold for Telegram Stars. Channels have a built-in paid subscription: the bot creates a link with the price, and Telegram handles renewal and removal for non-payment by itself.

If you sell something that is not digital or take payment on your own website, card payments go under your contract with your bank, and the bot only grants access after payment. We work out upfront which way suits you and are honest about the risk of restrictions from Telegram.

Alerts and links to your services

A bot can serve you as well as your customers: send new orders from your site, failure messages, daily summaries from a spreadsheet. Such a bot connects to your services through their APIs and reports only what needs attention.

If something goes wrong, a service did not answer or a client sent an unclear message, the bot does not go quiet: it tells you and offers the client a way to reach a person.

Where the bot runs and who owns it

The bot is registered to your Telegram account, so control over it stays with you. Its code can live on your server or with a hosting provider of your choice. We hand over the code, a guide to running it and a list of settings so any developer can carry on working with the bot.

The rights to the code written for you pass to you once the stage is accepted. The bot's token is kept only on the server where it runs.

How bot development goes

First we describe the scenario together: which messages and buttons the client sees, what the bot does with the answers, who gets alerts and when. Then the bot runs on a test account, and you walk through the scenario yourself, as a client would. You post comments to the order chat and accept the stage with one click in your account.

For an estimate, describe who will write to the bot, what it should do and where to pass the data. If there is a bot you like, add a link: it makes agreeing on the details quicker.

How much a Telegram bot costs

The price depends on the number of scenarios and integrations and on whether the bot needs its own control panel.
